Our collection will be unique to Canada featuring a variety of artifacts representing the history of Italian-Canadian settlement, culture and identity.
Objects of interest date from 1870-1980, the most intense period of Italian immigration to Canada.
Objects should relate specifically to the Italian-Canadian immigrant and related themes:
Voyage to Canada: photographs; paperwork; passports; boat, plane and train tickets; suitcases; clothing; maps; letters from/to family
Work: photographs; tools; equipment; clothing/uniforms; union cards; trade certificates or licenses; maps
Social life: photographs; playing cards; social and region clubs (flags, membership cards); biancheria; clothing; letters from/to family; children’s toys and games
Education: photographs; textbooks; assignments and reports
Religion: photographs; prayer cards; rosary beads; church newletters; superstitions like the evil eye with charms
Food: photographs; rolling pin and board; pasta-making machine; wine-making machine and flasks, bottles; gardening tools; recipes; tablecloths and serviettes
Sports: photographs; bocce and soccer balls; Formula 1 racing car models; club information; trophies; tickets to matches/events; posters; uniforms
Music: old records and machines; posters; concert tickets; musical instruments; old song sheets
We are also interested in memorabilia, works of art, including paintings and sculpture, and special, unique objects.

Appraisals and Tax Receipts
AMICI will provide a tax receipts for most donations having an appraised value. We do not provide appraisals for objects, However, we can assist you in finding an appraiser. Please note: the donor is responsible for the cost of the appraisal.
